A total of 2,381 vacancies have been notified across the following categories:

  • Stenographer (Lower Grade): 56 posts.
  • Stenographer (Higher Grade): 19 posts.
  • Staff Car Driver: 37 posts (indicative).

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Clerk: Must be a Graduate of any recognized University with English typing proficiency (40 w.p.m.) and a government-recognized computer certificate (e.g., MS-CIT/DOEACC).
  • Peon: Minimum 7th Class pass and the ability to read and write Marathi.
  • Stenographer: Graduate degree with shorthand speeds of 80 w.p.m. (Lower) or 100 w.p.m. (Higher) and English typing at 40 w.p.m.
  • Driver: 10th pass with a valid LMV Driving License and 3 years of experience.

Age Limits and Relaxations:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years.
  • Maximum Age: 38 years for general category candidates as of January 5, 2026.
  • Relaxations: Standard government relaxations apply for SC/ST/OBC and PwBD candidates as per state rules.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Clerk / Driver: ₹29,200 – ₹92,300 (Pay Matrix Level S-10).
  • Peon: ₹16,600 – ₹52,400 (Pay Matrix Level S-3).
  • Stenographer (Higher): ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 (Pay Matrix Level S-20).
  • Benefits: Includes HRA, Dearness Allowance (DA), and medical facilities as per Maharashtra government norms.

Selection Process:

  1. Screening Test: Objective-type written exam (90 marks for Clerks; 30 marks for Peons).
  2. Skill Test: Typing or shorthand tests for applicable technical posts.
  3. Interview/Viva Voce: Conducted for candidates qualifying the screening and skill stages.
