Agniveers receive a customized monthly package with an annual increment:
- Year 1: ₹30,000 (In-hand: ₹21,000)

- Seva Nidhi: Approx. ₹11.71 Lakh after 4 years (tax-free).
- Insurance: Non-contributory life cover of ₹48 Lakh.
Selection Process
The selection is conducted in three stages:
- Stage I (INET): Computer-based online entrance test (Science, Math, English, GK).
- Stage II: Written exam, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), and initial medicals.
- PFT Male: 1.6 km run in 6m 30s, 20 squats, 15 push-ups.
- PFT Female: 1.6 km run in 8m, 15 squats, 10 bent-knee sit-ups.
- Stage III: Final recruitment medical examination at INS Chilka.
