Eligibility Criteria:
- Constable: Candidates must have passed Class 12 (Intermediate) from a recognized board.
- Sub-Inspector (SI): A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university. Specific roles like SI Confidential or ASI Clerk require shorthand, typing, and an ‘O’ Level computer certificate.
- Physical Standards (General/OBC/SC):
- Male: Height 168 cm, Chest 79-84 cm.
- Female: Height 152 cm (147 cm for ST), Weight minimum 40 kg.
Age Limits and Relaxations (As of 2026):
Following a special order on January 5, 2026, a 3-year age relaxation has been granted to all categories for this cycle.
- General Male: 18 to 25 years.
- General Female: 18 to 28 years.
- OBC/SC/ST (UP Domicile): Relaxations up to 5 years + the additional 3-year special relaxation (Male up to 34 years, Female up to 37 years).
Salary and Benefits:
- Constable: Pay Level 3 (₹21,700 – ₹69,100). Total in-hand salary is approximately ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 including DA and HRA.
- Sub-Inspector: Pay Scale of ₹9,300 – ₹34,800 with Grade Pay of ₹4,200 (Total in-hand ₹24,000 – ₹80,400 depending on seniority/allowances).
Selection Process:
- Written Examination: Offline OMR-based test (300 marks for Constables; 400 marks for SI).
- DV & PST: Document verification and Physical Standard Test (Height/Chest measurements).
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
- Male: 4.8 km run in 25 minutes.
- Female: 2.4 km run in 14 minutes.
- Medical Examination & Final Merit List: Based on written exam scores and physical qualification.
Important Dates:

- Application End Date: January 30, 2026 (for Constables).
- SI/ASI Last Date: January 19, 2026.
